Last Wednesday evening the Solo Music Recital was held in the College Black Box Theatre. The night was filled with a diverse range of top quality solo performances highlighting the fantastic music education on offer at our College. Amongst these performances were soaring vocal numbers and driving guitar solos, as well as intricate clarinet and flute works to name a few. To finish the evening our Year 10 Music students rocked the roof off with a rendition of Fame by Irena Cara.
For some, this night was the first opportunity to perform at a high school music event and the audience were blown away by each musician’s unique talent! It takes a great amount of courage to perform in front of an audience and we would like to commend our performers on all their hard work leading up to the Recital. We wish our College musicians all the best as they continue to work tirelessly to develop their art, especially as some prepare to perform at this year’s Catholic Performing Arts Festival!
A special thanks goes out to all our staff and students who helped make this night a success, particularly our students in the Audio/Visual Team, who ran the mixing desk and assisted with the technical setup of the equipment! Lastly, a final thanks to our music staff who dedicate many hours of their time and energy to providing the very best music education to our children, helping them on their journey to become the best they can be!
