Book Week 2020

What a wonderful Book Week we had again this year. There were well-attended lunch activity sessions including a Where’s Wally hunt, a Book quiz, Celebrity Heads competitions and of course our Grand Finale was our Book Ball pizza lunch. Students were enthusiastic and got involved in all activities, which was great to see.

Over 230 students came in the spirit of Book Week Ball, dressed in all manner of costumes. You name it and they were there: Cat in the Hat, Peaky Blinders, Thing 1 and Thing 2. There was a great turnout of staff in a variety of costumes too! The Science Department joined us from the pages of Lord Of The Rings and Wendy from Peter Pan spent the day as Assistant to the Principal (Bob the Builder).

The winners of the costume prizes were:

Year 12 – Brendan and Stephanie
Year 11 – Olivia
Year 10 – Joshua
Year 9 – Daniel
Year 8 – Marin
Year 7 – Jarrah and Peter
Teacher Prize – Mrs Vicki Price

Congratulations to all these winners; it really was a difficult choice with the amazing costumes on display.

Thanks to the students, staff and everyone who made the Book Ball and the week so special.

Until next year, remember in the wonderful words of famous author Neil Gaiman:
“A book is a dream that you hold in your hand.”
