During Term 1, we were excited to introduce the inaugural Emmanuel Catholic College Feast Week!
The primary goal of Feast Week was our commitment to service, providing students with opportunities to actively support local charities not only making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, but also fostering a sense of empathy and social responsibility.
The week was a great success, providing students the opportunity to actively support local charities, making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Feast Week encouraged us to foster a stronger sense of community, belonging, and House spirit. Throughout the week, students represented their House and engaged in a variety of activities such as team sports, making sandwiches as part of the EatUp program, tree planting, a clothing drive, and making care bags up to be donated to those less fortunate. The inclusion of Shrove Tuesday celebrations with pancake cooking and sales was another welcome opportunity for fundraising.
The encouragement for students to proudly wear their House shirts throughout the week not only promoted House spirit but also reinforced a sense of identity and belonging within the College community.
Feast Week was a fantastic initiative that not only benefited the community but also enriched the student experience by promoting service, teamwork, and school spirit. We look forward to many more years of celebrating Feast Week at Emmanuel Catholic College!
