Tough weather conditions on Monday 9 November were not enough to stop the wonderful night that was the Year 10 River Cruise. 160 students and 14 staff gathered at the Barrick Street Jetty in Perth, ready for a memorable night on the Swan River. Excited and simply happy to be in each other’s company, the Year 10 students were content to brave the elements and pose for photographs on the dock.
Once on board the James Stirling, students enjoyed a pizza meal together then danced the night away to both new, and old school tunes, much to their delight of their teachers. They took the time to chat, visit the photobooth, and more than anything else, come together as one united year group.
I cannot speak highly enough of their wonderful manners and behaviour throughout the evening. It is a testament to their maturity and their growth into impressive young adults. Many thanks must go out to the wonderful Year 10 Pastoral Care Team for their leadership and coordination throughout the night. We truly are blessed to lead such a wonderful group and look forward to our 2021 Dinner Dance.
